1. [일반적인 사실]에 대한 if 조건절
- If he doesn't say anything, that means he's upset 걔가 아무말도 안한다면, 화가 났다는 뜻이야
- If it smells bad, it's probably not safe to eat 
- If there are too many people, it's better to go somewhere else. 사람이 너무 많다면 다른 데 가는 게 나아
- If you take the subway, it's faster 
- If you leave before 5 o'clock, there isn't much traffic 네가 5시 전에 출발한다면 , 차가 별로 막히지 않을거야

2. [현재의 사실]에 대한 if 조건절
 * 현재를 뒤집어서 가정하여 말해보는 것
- I live far from school, so it takes a lot of time go to school  in the morning.
 → If I lived closer to school, I could(=would be able to) save more time
- I go to work six times a week. So, it's hard to make plans on weekends. 나는 일주일에 6번 출근해요. 그래서 주말에 계획을 잡는 게 힘들어요
 → If I went to work just five days a week, I would be able to do more things on weekends. 내가 5일만 일한다면 주말에 더 많은 걸 할 수 있을텐데
- I have an external hard drive, so I can carry my music and movies wherever I go. 나는 외장하드를 가지고 있어서 어딜 가든 음악과 영화를 가지고 다닐 수 있어요
 → If I didn't have an external hard drive, I couldn't carry my music and movies.
- I gain weight quite easily. So I have to be careful about what I eat 나는 쉽게 살이 쪄요. 그래서 먹는 것에 신경을 써야 해요.
 → If I didn't gain weight so easily, I wouldn't have to be so careful about what I eat 내가 살이 이렇게 잘 안쪘다면 내가 먹는 것에 이렇게 신경쓰지 않아도 되었을거야.

I'm willing ot : ~을 할 의향(생각)이 있다	* if 조건절과 함께 연습하기!  ex) I'm willing to buy a used one if the price is right. 가격이 맞다면 중고 제품을 살 생각(의향)도 있어   ex) I'm willing to shave off my beard if you promise not to tease me 나를 놀리지 않는다고 약속하면 내 턱수염을 밀어버릴 의향이 있어요   ex) If it's OK with you, I'm willing to start right away 당신만 괜찮다면 저는 당장 시작할 의향이 있습니다   * If you're OK 라고 하면 상대방의 정신/신체적 건강이 괜찮다면의 의미가 되므로 주의할 것!

  ex) I'm thinking of cooking at home tonight 오늘밤에는 집에서 요리를 해먹을 생각이야

4. I'm a light drinker 나 술 잘 못마셔 <-> I'm a heavy drinker  나 술 잘마셔
 * tolerance 내성
  ex) I have a low tolerance (for alcohol) (술에 있어 내성이 약해) 술 잘 못마셔/쉽게 취해
  ex) I have a high tolerance (for alcohol) (술에 있어 내성이 강해) 술 잘 마셔/안취해

5. 취한 정도 표현하기

단어	예문
sober 술이 깬/안취한	ex)I am sober 나 술 안취했어   ex) I am almost sober 나 거의 깨가   ex) Go get sober then call me
tipsy 약간 취기가 오른	ex) I am getting tipsy
drunk 술취한	* 격식을 차려야 하는 장소에서는 자기 주량도 모르는 사람처럼 보여서 책임감이 없어보일 수 있으므로   ex) We're not that drunk 우린 그리/그다지 취하지 않았어    * 부사 that: 그리/그다지
wasted 만취한 = trashed

6. designated driver : 지정된 운전사
 ex) And somehow, I just ended up becoming the designated driver.
